I have to further amend my post about satellites because now it's being reported we did detect 2 launches which could match a SA 15. We didn't report it at first because we wanted to see Iran's reaction. They use thermal detection, so it would be small on a Tor but still reasonably able to determine the kind based on heat signature. A man pad would be undetectable.

Europeans ( well part of them) see the situation the same way.

The arguments going back and forth among the British political establishment ( in this case Corbyn and Johnson) are pretty revealing under the circumstances;

And what Mercouris is saying here from Great Britain yet again ( about the vacuum for objective and independent diplomacy on behalf of Europeans) is true too ( in spite of the honorable mentioning of Macron and his latest efforts.)

Given past instances, I expect a Russian fueled story to come out blaming the USA for this shoot down. They can't blame Ukraine this time. They are getting a story ready, that is for sure. Won't surprise me to see it appear here on this forum.

How could anyone blame anybody other than Iran?

However, I already see in the P&C threads some posters blaming Trump and Putin for it.

Well... The USA had a motive. And weapons (drones). We cannot reject this version. It is also likely.

Obviously, these were Russians. Perhaps Putin personally led operation from Syria.

TOR anti-aircraft missile system at night:

It's bright and loud. The Iranian air defense version also has many questions.

If it was intentional, you can't discount Russian involvement.

Let's think who had a motive for this? I don't see a Iran’s motive. It can be stupid mistake. I do not see a Russia's motive. I see a US's motive. A drone could waited for Iran’s government flight to avenge attacks on the bases.

Who benefits from this? I don't see a win for Iran. I don't see a win for Russia. I see a win for the USA. Everyone forgot about the attack on American bases and are discussing the tragedy.

But yes, we can't discount Russian involvement. Need a discussion.
