On Saturday hubby and I worked out at another location that had a whirlpool and a sauna. OMG that is teh awesome after a workout, sweating away all of the impurities. I was cooking all right but it felt sooo good. Did the usual cardio and some strength. Last week was not a good strength week. This week I hope will be better. One high note though... I have never attempted unassisted pull ups. They're intimidating. I know the guys do it all of the time, but still. Well for grins I decided to have a go at it and I managed to lift myself off the ground pretty high...........but still didn't go over the bar. I think if I actively practice I could do it in no time.
ETA - tried the stairclimber for the first time. I dunno...didn't get anything from it. I guess I've been doing the elliptical and stepmill for so long I've forgotten how it was to use an actual stairclimber. I'm on Day 4 of the "no scale" challenge. I am actively NOT weighing myself because it had become an unhealthy obsession. Screw that, I'm not going to let a scale dictate my mood and diminish all of the hard work I've put it. So I'm quitting cold turkey.
First Orange Theory class this afternoon. Ran about 2.67 miles with varying intervals from 4 mph to 8.2 mph. Did some weight stuff too. I won't be doing it every day but maybe once a week or so. Tomorrow I'm doing a Barre class.

I've been slacking on the abs :/ run out of time. I always do those last. so many things I wanna do and not enough time. Now I've discovered push and pullups and want to work on those too!

I still can't do a pull up.
I have RA in my hands and wrists so even practicing is problematic.
DH's friend has totally ripped abs, and he hasn't done any ab work, he says it's all diet. That kinda put me off doing intense abs. I try a trade-off, I don't want to live on a super restricted diet.

Just got back from a 2 week vacation. Trying to get into the swing of things but he jet lag has my energy sapped. Yesterday I did some bike intervals before work but I was too sleepy for an after work yoga class. Today the jet lag caught up and I am completely exhausted.
