I know! I was at Target earlier this week and passed the girls' clothing section and the stuff they have there this year looks rather adult.

I agree as well.
I think a great many people are too concerned with what other adults are wearing and not paying attention to the fact that many of the Tween clothes are making the young girls look like hookers.

I agree, too.

I've never understood bikini's for young girls. Even baby and toddler-aged girls! It's gross. And it seems trashy. You really shouldn't be wearing a bikini until you have boobs to go with it. Until then you're too young, IMO.

Your age has nothing to do with it. Period. Its how your body looks that matters. I hate it when people has to put an age limit on everything. J Lo clearly looks beautiful and i would kill for her body. I would never show my stomach off, not even when I was 20.

I asked my mom and other moms that I know. They all say that if you dont got it, dont try to show it.

I knew a few YOUNG moms who were so used to having it, they decided to try to show it too soon after their kids - YUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKK. Nothing uglier than a stretched out post baby stomach.

I say that if you have kids who are in their teens, DO NOT SHOW your stomach unless you are an avid and total fitness fanatic. Otherwise, you just look tacky and low class.

When you daughter or even son says, Mom/Dad am I pretty, remember the words you just spoke.

Better yet, tell him/her your pretty just as long as you dont have kids or are 10lbs over weight.

This type of thinking is why so many young girls and even older women have so much added stress when comes to beauty.

But as they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Exactly. This is why as a parent, I place my childs health/fitness in such very high regards. She eats right and well, is very active and even at 3 years old, she knows yoga sun salutations A and B. A combination of stressing the importance of physical health/fitness as well as education leads to a very well rounded and self confident individual who is NOT susceptible to being influenced by what others or "society" says. But, she'll still know better than to walk around and hang out in clubs/bars with her kids wearing midriff revealing shirts. You have to teach class as well.
