I think tats on a chick can be erotic...........but I would wonder about the thought process that led her to the decision. Some porn chicks have gone overboard with the tattoos and I wonder if it is a reflection of inner turmoil. Look at Julia Bond, she was very cute, now she is a mess and the tattoos have gotten way out of control!

Neck, face tats are usually not good, especially with ex-lover's names on the neck! Tats about guns/money/goofy sayings would be a huge turnoff.

Many if not most who have tattoos don't partake in those things. But most who partake in those are tattooed, especially drugs. Just like most people with tattoos aren't criminals but almost all criminals are tattooed.

Somehow this turned into a character issue which is wrong. You can't judge somebody until you know them. For me this is purely a matter of physical attraction. I would be more attracted to a woman with character flaws or even substance abuse issues that has no tattoos than a perfect woman (not that anyone is perfect) with tattoos. Some might think that's wrong but you can't tell my brain what to be attracted to...it likes what it likes and is turned off more by tattoos than anything else.

I can't relate to the guys who don't like tattoos because they look trashy. I love the trashy look. I am the one guy on the "natural" thread who says I prefer artificial to natural. What sucks for me is all the women who have the trashy look in general are tattooed. so are most of the natural ones. It seems impossible to find anyone without tattoos these days. I think no tatts truly is counter culture because it's so unusual. No tattoos are the new tattoo.

I get "extreme" situations being unappealing, but what is the issue with cosmetic surgery in and of itself? What of permanent makeup? Is it so vain and shallow to opt for "permanent" makeup? Does that mean one has issues if they're fixated on "looking good," going so far as to choose permanent makeup?

(Waiting to hear how oh-so shallow, vain, insecure, and attention-seeking women are who desire or get cosmetic surgery. Obviously, that *must* be the case.)
I certainly believe that there is something mentally in someone that gets cosmetic surgery. anytime you get cut open in surgery you are taking a risk. but I don't really like to judge them too harshly. my mom is one of them. I thought we are just talking about who we would date (I like to add in who I might bang), im not looking to get too deep and judgmental with this.

im not a fan of tats. I think it looks trashy and trashy people tend to have tats more frequent than god fearing church folk like me. but that doesn't mean I think everyone with a tat is trashy. I have friends with them and I don't consider them trash.

Never an issue. They always admired my work. I have generally lived in progressive, diverse cities (So Cal and Atlanta). My ex-husband is prior military and has not a single tattoo (yet), and my current beau also has none. I have 25 and counting.
I will tell you a secret. I know lots of women with tattoos and I always tell these women they look great.

In reality I would never date women with tattoos unless it was a youth mistake while being drunk. And the tattoo must be out of sight. Paradoxically i tell all my female friends with tattoos that they look great with them. But, I am lying when i say I love the tattoos. I say they look great because I have great esteem for them and I don't have the courage to put down tattoos when I talked to the.

The other day one of my friends complained that she was treated with little courtesy in the Emergency Room because she was covered with tattoos. The doctor dismissed her request for pain killers to treat her migraine. I suspect the doc assumed she was a drug seeker.

But that is life, most people follow each other like sheep.

Yeah, I'm not surprised the dissenting opinions come from "god fearing folk." I don't believe in deities. Must be why I have tattoos. Heathens are wicked, and wicked folk are naturally trashy and lowly people.

Actually, that's quite comical, so comical that I can't take it seriously.

And how is relevant to what I said? So, because you lie to these women then all men who express admiration or attraction to such women are also liars. Does it logically follow that if you don't like curvy women then all men must not like curvy women? No, it's not. Gotta love logical fallacies.

Does the same apply to prejudice, ignorance and bigotry? It's trendy, and claims many sufferers.

Would just like to let you know that I am a Southern Baptist. Before I moved to the area I am in now, I was in the choir, I was a Sunday School teacher, and I worked with the AWANA kids as well as with Vacation Bible School.

My children were also baptized and are Southern Baptist.

When I say most folks copy and follow each other I was taking about tattoos which nowadays are very omnipresent everywhere you go. That means tattoos are lame. When elderly senior citizens are getting tattoos by the drove you realize that tattoos are not in anymore among the avant-garde.

I've not seen many elderly people with tattoos, apart from veterans. Actually, I don't see seewww many people with tattoos. Probably more so in So Cal because a lot of military have tattoos, but it wasn't some big trendy thing I saw in the South, and yet, it wasn't some intensely hated thing.

Is everything that which is seen "everywhere" also lame? Does it apply to beauty and fashion "trends" as well?

My dermatologist loves my back piece. So does my spinal doc (it's a grapevine) The nurse at my doc's office really digs my calf piece (it's a hummingbird with cherry blossoms and tiger lilies)... all my work was done by an expert, not a scratcher.

I dunno... I think that it's cool not to like tattoos, but to assume that all people with tattoos will get treated like junkies is really stretching it.

I guess that these professionals also know that I am an individual with an advanced degree who works in a highly-specialized professional field myself, so that might make a difference?
