I don't wear mine, it's an annoyance, and prone to falling off, or getting lost. Lost it in a hotel swimming pool once, had to wait until the sun was coming from the right direction, for it to cast a shadow, so I could find it.
I take my ring off before I wash my hands, shower or work out at the gym. It's remembering to put it back on after that's a problem. It's only when I get to my destination that I realise that I've left my ring at home. Lol. My best friend had a tungsten ring which broke and now just wears a silicone band.
BTW: According to our jeweler silicone bands were not initially meant as rings. They were designed to cover an expensive ring in places where showing bling may not be safe or protect it in some other way.
I have heard the old adage that men "don't like to wear any jewelry". I understand that, but that always seemed like a weak excuse.
I wonder if it's a cultural thing? Men of Indian ethnicity grow up around jewelry. Jewelry is often paid as a dowry when a woman gets married. This gold accumulates over the generations and is an important source of generational wealth for Indian families.
Christian Indians do exchange rings (Hindus - the man gives the woman a golden neck chain called a Mangal Satra). And Indian men do go in for bling because jewelry is a status symbol, so expect diamonds on a man's wedding ring.
Apparently, men wearing wedding rings tend to be hit on more often than single men. The ring acts as "social proof" of the man's desirability as a long-term mate.

LOL that happened to George on an episode of Seinfeld. I think that story is largely apocryphal unless you travel in rarified circles with lots of hot, predatory chicks.
I've tried the silicone bands, but after ripping a bunch, i just stopped reordering them. ALmost need to set it as a recurring order in my Amazon account
Right after this post, i went on Amazon and found a lightning deal on Silcone bands and bought a pack of 6.
received today, so lets see how long this pack lasts me. I usually rip them at the span of 1 every 2 weeks.
As a 75-yo man who has been married to the same woman for 48 years, I submit to you that nobody needs to wear a ring to know they are married. We have both had some close calls when injury (either to finger or ring) could have been a disaster. So the wife has my ring in her jewelry box, and we both know where it is. I wear it once in awhile. I have nothing to prove.
She has a problem with swelling hands and fingers, and I will sometimes see her sitting ringless while peeling carrots and potatoes for supper. Her cooking says more to me about love, than wearing a piece of metal. We both know what we're all about.
