If people with those things feel "beautiful", they need to get some serious professional help. How can anyone live with them, anyway? Imagine how expensive it is to get those things removed. Ouch.
I have art that I bring with me everywhere I go. It can never be sold, never be lost, never be stolen and as long as I take care of it, it will remain intact for the rest of my life.
I've been living with tattoos for 8 years now and I honestly can't imagine not having them. I like them, as hard as it is for some people to believe. I'm not hurting anyone by getting tattoos, I'm not a criminal, I support myself and I think I'm an okay gal. I go about living my life just as anyone else does.
And not everyone will want to get their tattoos removed...I certainly don't.
As kind of an odd point of reference, I went and got my hair cut and colored last Wednesday by a whole SALON full of crazy tattooed women. They were all soooo nice and sweet, and I received the BEST cut and color I've ever had. I wonder how many people would pass this little salon up because the women inside are tattooed? Eh, they're not hurting for business anyway... I had to make my appointment a week in advance

It depends on how the person feels about them, their lifestyle, and the way they like to live.
It's like asking somebody, "Hey, do you feel beautiful with your bleached blonde hair or black hair?" "Do you feel beautiful with pale skin or tanned skin?"
I think if the person is happy, leave them alone. Everyone has different lifestyles and such. And this is just a way of telling people, "Hey, this is me. This is what I love to do."
Tattoos are so played out now that NOT having them is starting to become trendy.
Those who got a Tattoo because it was trendy have only themselves to blame if/when they regret it (which according to statistics posted in another thread claims 83% don't).
Most people that I know who get Tattoos do it for personal reasons that have nothing to do with what Fashion dictates.
Tattoos are like art- I love art. I wouldn't want to wear it around forever. I have clothes that are so beautiful that when worn, women stop and ask where I got them, but I wouldn't want to wear them everyday.
What other people do to their bodies is their business. I've been over the moon impressed with amazing tattoos on other peoples bodies. The color, style, creativity, and time that goes into them!
That said- you will automatically look trashy to people who don't have any.
The only thing I have against tattoos is that they fade...
Tons of tats is whatever you make of it. Some people have really horrible styles and others look good.

They don't fade if you take care of them
6 years after my forearm was tattooed I STILL have people asking if it's fresh. If you use sunscreen, exfoliate often and keep your tattoos out of the sun as much as possible they will look new for many, many years.
