I like the natural look as well, but I do usually use everything: foundation, blush, eye makeup and lipstick. I don't glooop it on, though. I use everything pretty sparingly, just so I have a polished look at work.
I've been genetically blessed with a nice complexion. All I've ever worn was powder, lipstick and eyeliner. That's it. Oh, and I used to wear blush. My pigment has changed so I don't need it now.
My makeup varies depending on my mood and what I'm doing that day. If it's something professional or similar, I'll tone it down to natural or light colors (think sandy, pinks, coppers, browns, nudes, etc) - or just stick to eyeliner/mascara/blush, and maybe a lip stain or stick, depending. If I'm feeling adventurous that day (more often than not), and don't have to do anything professional - I'll do loud/vibrant colors for eyeshadow (with liner and mascara), dark colors (with liner and mascara), etc...sometimes leaving cheeks and lips nude, or with a light flush of color. If I feel REALLY lazy, I'll just brush a little blush on my cheeks or use cheek stain, right on the apples to make a flushed/just came in from the cold look, swipe on lip stain, and some mascara (pale lashes).
I use all the goodies - but it looks natural - nothing like Tammy Faye Bakker. I do my makeup when I go to work, out to dinners or any special functions where I want to look my best, and of course, when I'm competing (Okay ... competition makeup is more on the Tammy Faye side). But if I'm just doing local stuff - going to the grocery store, gym, running errands, etc. I don't wear any makeup at all because I just want to wake up, get showered, brush my teeth, get dressed and GO.
I only wear eyeliner usually. Sometimes I like to stick on a little lip stick or something and add a bit of color, but that's only usually just for special occasions.
But 9 times out of ten I just wear eyeliner, if anything.
I am about to turn 44 years old. I do not own any make up, and have not for better than 25 years. In high school I wore eyeliner. As a very young adult I wore some bad green eyeshadow with my eyeliner.
