The longer it stays still the more it weakens, until it's nothing.

Its not stationary. If you look at the radar there's rotation in the middle.

It's comical watching the media people in Florida in their rainsuits trying so hard to make it look "epoch".

Many of them are standing under Sunny skies w/o any wind.

Notice how much they show the footage from the Bahamas, where it was catastrophic? That is all they have to scare people with here in Florida.

I feel terrible for the people in the Bahamas though, they took a direct hit from a Cat 5 that just stalled out there. For them, it was very very real, and horrendous. Our prayers are with you.

There are already gofundme accounts set up for Bahamian relief, some well-meaning but without the means to distribute the aid. Don't donate to any of these. If anyone would like to help, search for Hopetown Volunteer Fire & Rescue and your donation will go directly to relief efforts on Elbow Cay and Man-O-War. Word is that two roofs are intact on Man-O-War. On Elbow, Captain Jacks and the Harbours Edge are destroyed, the Lodge is mostly gone, the Abaco Inn mostly destroyed, Sea Spray gone, almost every wooden dock is gone and many houses are destroyed. Heard that Cracker Ps is destroyed but no firm word from Lubbers yet.
