I know its hard to believe, but, im under the impression that many are still holding onto the Civil War even though its been over for a long time. Im a northerner soon to relocate to Florida and i love southern people by and large even though ive run across a few low-lifes. I could be wrong, but, I kind of feel that southern people are a little more territorial than what northerners are...but that is only my personal observation. One big difference i see is the level of unprofessionalism that most all southern workmen have. , but im willing to overlook that to live in a better climate and far lower cost of living as a semi retiree.

To break it down, this is what I've gathered from the opinions on this thread and the forum in general... "Northerners are rude" ...and non-Northerners generalize WAAAAAAAYYYY too much.

That is the place most of the New Yorkers I have known, who have even left at all, have moved to.

Some of the rudest drivers I've encountered were contractors in pick-ups buzzing to and from their jobs or Subway or wherever. Now that the construction industry has dried up, they've disppeared. Are they Northerners? I don't think so... Just Floridians in a reckless hurry.
