I'm up and it is still morning. I did get up way early this morning but need to help a friend out so I just had to check in. I is cold and winter like here today. I really want chili but out of fixings. We will start at square one when the wife gets home. She may shop on the way home or I may just surprise her and have something done as long as I don't burn it.

If anything gets burned just add Cajun seasoning and refer to it as 'blackened'!

Sounds like a tip I need to remember. I really good at sticking things like beans to the bottom of the pot. I usually find them when the house starts smelling like the city's incinerator.

OK...batch #2 of my fudge done! Geeze..this takes so darn long...6 hours for it to set up. I only have 2 of the right size dishes but I suppose it's better this way anyhow. The first batch is more like a fudge pudding....guess we'll have to eat that one! Ha! This way if I goof up one at a time it's not a big thing but if I were making several at the same time it would be a real drag to have them all like pudding! Ha! I'm pretty sure this one is fine as it's already setting up! Think I'll throw some maraschino cherries in one of the batches. I love the cherries in it!!

I just assembled all of our supplies. 20 pounds of flour, 10 pounds of white sugar, 2 pounds of confectioners sugar, 4 pounds of brown sugar, one large container of oatmeal, two jars of jelly, one large container of raisins, two packages of craisins, one jar of peanut butter, one box of cocoa powder, two bottles of vanilla, 1 box of baking powder, 3 dozen eggs, sprinkles, 3 boxes of brownie mix and almost 12 POUNDS assorted chocolate, peanut butter, butter scotch and white chocolate chips. I think we are ready.

We will also have a large supply of low calorie foods for lunches and dinners for the weekend. Lots of veggies, salads, fruits, etc., in order to compensate in case we eat a cookie or two or forty.
