Kids can be like dinner. Sometimes I think it is an experiment to see what will happen when. That is the way I cook. I'm doing that now with the roast.

skbs: stay in here where it is warm and cozy. Most of us have all been there at one time or another. We have a 14 yr. old grand who called us up a couple of months ago, "saying gram can I come and live with you and grandpa, my parents don't understand me"!! I replied, "no you can't, your parents DO understand you!!

GH: You are far from stupid, after reading your cute post this morning, I had to check the calendar too. I just thought maybe it was Mon. in Ohio.

Boy, what a change in plans today, hubby never got home for lunch today, so today's lunch will be tomorrows.

Dinner is still baked flounder with roasted red peppers and shrimp scampi sauce, fingerling potatoes and tarragon carrots.

Talk to my friends after dinner. Ciao for now.

skbs our foodie friends give us a false sense of security regarding the rest of C-D I am afraid. Just like in the real world we have to deal with the ugly parts too. If you take a lickin' ~~out there~~ come back in here we will smooth it over so you can keep on tickin'.

Nomad I thought I got a whiff of your roast but it was just our beef in our veggie soup.

cyn me too! This thread is an uplifting one I think we all need that. Sometimes I wish the meany people would come in here to see how adults can talk back and forth while having fun.

YLisa yep yep on the canning and gardening! We use to raise and butcher number 98's too. I spied a case of canning jars in one of your kitchen pictures I am making notes to post when I get to the end of your thread. On page 64 woo hoo!

Lucked out and found 2 quarts of veggie soup that has been simmering since my last post. How easy was that? I whipped up some garlic biscuits then popped them in the oven too. We will crack open a jar of our pears for dessert.

I need to go out into the shark waters soon so I can get my repping powers back for my foodie friends. If I don't come back tonight by tomorrow one of ya better get to surfing for me in other threads, they might have ripped my throat out or holding me ducted taped.

Something fishy is going on in my kitchen.

It's my pan-seared tilapia with hush puppies and Bush's smokehouse beans.
