7 Tbsp Kahlua, divided
1 cup heavy cream (for whipping)
1 pkg chocolate wafers, crushed
5 Tbsp butter
1/2 gal coffee ice cream, softened (on counter 15 minutes)
2 Tbsp hot fudge sauce
1/2 cup powdered sugar
(Can use premade chocolate graham cracker crust instead of the chocolate wafers and butter.)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Combine crushed cookie wafers with melted butter and press onto bottom and up sides of a 9-inch pie pan. Bake in oven for 10 minutes. Let cool.
Combine softened ice cream and 5 tablespoons Kahlua (using a mixer) until creamy. Fill pie crust with ice cream mixture, cover with plastic wrap and place in freezer for 3 to 4 hours.
Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form. Top frozen pie with whipped cream. Refreeze for 1 hour.
Combine remaining 2 tablespoons of Kahlua with hot fudge sauce, drizzle over top of pie and serve.
Happy Birthday Amber. Better do it in advance so I don't forget in another senior moment kind of thing and while I've got this here DSL working at the moment.
Cyn's computer is down. No worries. They think Ike took out a satelite or something.
