My Son and I worked at our shop today so I was lazy and didn't want to cook. We went to Olive Garden, where we always get the same thing, their unlimited soup, salad, and breadsticks deal. It is about $6.95 plus the drink, and they will keep bringing you refills of everything as long as you want. It is cheaper than going to McDonalds and is sure a lot better for you. They have 4 soups to choose from, and you can change during the meal to another one than you picked the first time. They bring a huge salad bowl and will keep filling that up, and will also bring more bread sticks if you want.
So for $ 21.00 plus a tip we both had a very good meal, and best of all, I didn't have to cook tonight.
Went to a favourite Lebanese restaurant with my brother and a friend of his. We shared several appetizers. Tomato (vegetarian) kibbeh, traditional kibbeh, lamb kebabs, hummus, baba ganoush, greens salad, pita bread and raw vegetable juice. I had my favourite: carrot and celery.
I had my favorite local Chinese food, which was fried rice with black pepper chicken and barbecued pork. I found out tonight they raised their prices by about .45 cents since the last time I was there. But, for what I get, it's still a good deal.
the better half is working so I think I will take mom out to the Golden Corral if she is up to it. If not just might have to feed her pizza. At least she will enjoy jalapenos on it.
And then again I might get ambitious and fix our own BLT's.
We're going to the local fair, so it will be cheese steaks, kettle corn, deep fried Oreos and candy apples.
