Default Well...

I cannot even indulge myself in viewing the various, delicious, luscious, well spoken descriptions of "What's on Tonight's Dinner Menu" as besides my dinner envy I have just eaten my "dinner". And I don't mind telling you how this was not the plan, Chobani Greek yogurt...banana.

Yes...I worked today and I was just too darned lazy to go grocery shopping; there, I said it. Not looking for any sympathy either as I will definitely go tomorrow after laundry and cleaning.

In the meantime...Bon appétit and enjoy what I imagine are some mighty fine dinner menus.

My son is home from college this weekend so I made a Thai feast. It's is favorite cuisine.

Thia tofu cakes with cilantro chilli dip. Thia red curry with asparagus spinach and Napa cabbage and jasmine rice.

For desert - Home made green tea and hazelnut ice cream. First time I attempted that and it was very good.
For any one looking for a non-dairy desert this was delicious and easy!
The "cream" is coconut milk.

Yesterday, I vowed I would revisit all my many cookbooks and make some different things this week.
Today I'm making wild rice soup with chicken, ham, mushrooms and some other veggies in a creamy chicken broth. Even though it is still summery here, my internal, northern clock says its time to make some fall dishes.

That is an interesting way to approach what's for supper if I weren't in this don't want to cook for one mode I'd try that. Might have to keep that idea for another day here.
