Steak, baked potato, corn and strawberry rhubarb crisp. Last night, the restaurant where we ate gave DH 4 samples of their sauces, so we'll put them on the steak.
Nice! I just fixed marinated venison on the grill last night! Had it over a fresh bed of steamed baby spinach and some fresh bread.. We've got some left so we're having that again tonight.
Just returned from a wonderful few days in Kirkland, WA, so it will have to be chicken/bacon clubs, Cobb salad, broccoli cheese soup, no dessert, have to re-stock the liquor cabinet, so just cranberry juice.
Dang! How big a steak can you get off a moose? I'm imagining something Fred Flintstone size!
I'm experimenting. I soaked chicken thighs all day in buttermilk, siracha, and herbs, and then coated them tonight in Rice Chex w/ herbs that I whizzed through the food processor to make a sort-of panko, and they're roasting in a hot oven. I'll steam up something green for a side. Dessert is fresh sliced local peaches with a bit of whipped cream and sprinkled with a little crunchy cinnamon cereal.
I'm not feeling very inspired. I think I'll make linguine and an easy vodka sauce with coconut milk. I have to move in two weeks, so I'm trying to use up everything I have here and avoid any shopping.
