I've never had spaghetti squash, so I can't say.

You're right, though, if there was a significant sauce on the zoodles -- and if I closed my eyes really tight and meditated really hard -- they would have seemed more pasta-like. I only had it with olive oil and chopped anchovies. I do have some homemade seriously good pasta sauce in the freezer that I will defrost before the next time I zoodle-ize.

You're also right about the cheese. At first I only put a bit of Parmesan cheese on it. It was okay. I put MORE Parmesan cheese on it and it got good. Cheese is the greatest equalizer. (Speaking of cheese, I managed to start -- and finish! -- a whole "round" of Le Rustique Camembert this week. No carbs but, oh my!, so much fat. And so much deliciousness. It's definitely my favorite cheese.)

Something around salad and thin center pork chops. Maybe risotto with mushrooms.

It is too hot to even think about food. How about two margaritas - one for dinner and one for desert. Good night

Hiya! I'm in Canada so you might not find the same brand. This was my first go-round (no pun intended) at spiralizing, so I didn't want to lay out big bucks. I got this one:

http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00H...ilpage_o00_s00

It was fantastic!

Oh, I just looked and they have it on Amazon.COM (not .CA) as well:

http://www.amazon.com/Jumbl-Vegetabl...+Spiral+Slicer

The one-star reviews are weird. Someone said it's large (it's not!), someone said that it's difficult to make it stay on the counter (I had trouble getting it OFF! it has suction cups at the bottom)...

I am thinking Enchilado de Camarones. Shrimp in a creole red sauce over rice/noodles. I have red lettuce to use up so a salad alongside.

We are having a sort of country meal tonight: pineapple ham loaf, collards with ham hocks, potato salad,
broccoli cornbread and sweet potato cobbler for dessert.

Sour stomach today...sigh. I am making fattoush for a light dinner. It always makes me feel better and the rest of the family also like it. My husband will grill up some chicken for those who want a heartier meal. Arabic Zeal » Fattoush ~ Lebanese Peasant Salad

1/2 Lebanese here. Learned to make some of the dishes I enjoyed as a kid. My mom got real good at cooking Lebanese too (she learned from the best, my grand mom!).

Kibbeh, meat and spinach pies, and chicken stuffed with lamb/rice/pine nuts.

Mike
