I guess you could say it's a Food Channel night.
I got some enormous shrimp at Sam's yesterday, so I think I'll make Ina Garten's baked shrimp recipe. I think it will make a good make ahead company dish, but I need to try it on us first. I think Rachel Ray lemon spaghetti will be good with it.

I second that, Gentlearts -- your dinner sounds wonderful!

This is what I had last night ... beef with peanut sauce over rice ...

Had some beef I had to use up before it went bad but I needed something really fast. This took <10 minutes as I had leftover peanut sauce and I used instant rice (not great, but fast). As I'm looking at this photo now, I'm thinking, "I should have added some broccoli ..."

I had a leftover peach-strawberry-mango margarita in the freezer so I figured I'd use that up too ... the photo below is from when I made them for 2 a couple of nights before ...

YUM! Not my most nutritious dinner ever, though, LOL!

Going all American tonight, chicken fried steaks smothered with mushrooms and milk gravy. Mashed potatoes alongside and green beans with bacon dressing.

I am almost tempted to bake a pie for dessert it's so gosh darn American but I only baked a pie once. I might however make a cobbler of sorts...nah. Then it involves turning on the oven.

pizza with ready made dough from Trader Joe's - one is plain, the other is garlic and herb. Kids want just pepperoni and 1/2 black olives, mom and dad on the G&H will have pepperoni, canadian bacon, sausage, garlic, sweet onion, green and black olives, bell peppers, pineapple and sliced roma tomato on 1/2 (for mom).
