Thank you Sheena, SXMGirl. He's being put down Saturday.
my heart is breaking for you. We went through this last summer; it was one of the saddest days of our lives, but you are doing the right thing and time does heal even if it takes months. My prayers for you an Max. Our little guy was about the same age. We still have our little girl, she is doing fine with no problems but we did get her from the shelter 3 years ago and do not know her age. All the vet said las check up: boy she has some years on her!!! This really sent me into orbit.
tonight we are having chicken fried chicken, cold slaw with dried fruit in it and veggies, but am not quite sure what kind. I am thinking maybe asparagus.

I am so sorry for this. Having had to make that decision 6 years ago this May I understand how devastating it is. It was the hardest thing I think I have ever done. I have two wonderful dogs but miss my Edy still. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your special boy.
Tonight I am braising cube steak, steaming broccoli and maybe making rice so the gravy has something to go on.
Last night: Del Frisco's Grille for a ribeye steak, three potato cakes, Caesar salad with an anchovy-garlic dressing, butterscotch pudding, iced tea, and a glass of red wine.
Tonight: Either Mexican food or barbecue. Still deciding.
Alm! Your dinner sounds yummy! My dog Max (12 yrs old) has 3 different health things going on and now he's not eating and he can't control his potty. I've been crying for days because it's coming to the point where I have to make a decision. My daughter is moving out tomorrow with her puppy that I've pretty much raised for a year. I can't think about cooking tonight. I've ordered Olive Garden. Pasta fagioli, 5 cheese ziti a la forna and breadsticks.
My deepest sympathies - I know your heart must be breaking. I wish I could bring you food to help bring you some comfort - know that you're in my thoughts, prayers, and hugs, Jrsygrl51 - many, MANY hugs!! Know that I'll be there in spirit for you too - and holding your hand if you want me to.
Thank you Alm, Magicshark and Missy2U. I appreciate you guys and the hugs and prayers. Keep them up please. I feel them and they are helping.
