Well our friends that were over last night for wine and appetizers brought us some left over pheasant they had the night before. It isn't quite enough for our whole dinner, but we are also cleaning out our fridge cause we are leaving town Thursday for a couple of weeks. So I took one piece of chicken out of the freezer, will have that with the pheasant and a mixed green salad, with fresh green beans, cauliflower, broccoli, asparagus, tomatoes and a blue cheese dressing. I think I will add some rice and that should make a nice dinner.

Got some good coupons in the mail for Maggiano's yesterday, and the special is only good M-F, so we went there for dinner last night, with apparently 1/4 of the metro area. Nice meal, but about 75 minutes to wait for a table. Next time, we'll do it on a Tuesday or Wednesday. I got the chicken piccata light side. Not bad, but easy to see the kitchen was slammed as there wasn't any finesse to the plating and the last little bits of attention weren't given.

Tonight I'll finally get around to making the chicken pot pie that I've been thinking to put together for a couple of days. I need that puppy done and the room back in my refrigerator.

Cooking up the grape leaves last night. I invert a plate over them and weigh it with a water filled pan.

And here are the grape leaves I made along with a platter with tzatziki I made with kalamatas, pita and feta I did not make.

Tonight we are haveing company. We are making crack dip to start. Then it's a low country boil. I think I will pick up some macaroons for dessert.
Happy Saturday!

^^^Great!

(We bake our dolmas.)

We are probably frying up chicken wings, creaming potatoes, and baconizing green beans.

Having some friends over from Southern California over this evening for dinner. Carne asada tacos or burritos, Mexican rice, and black beans. Sangria or beer to drink and flan for dessert.
