Default Frozen dinners

We are old...ha ha..and I am pretty lazy...so we do eat frozen dinners..
the good ones are Stouffers, Marie Callender, Weight Watchers....no Banquest...

They are more pricey, but we know which ones are repeat buys, and some are not..

I have a green salad....some are fanatic about the salt content....I am not..

I do also buy good steak, use my crock pot for stews and soup..

Banquet fine for those struggling to feed their families.....so I understand

I don't find that Pillsbury dough reheats in the microwave well.

Actually, Dollar General/Family Dollar have somewhat inflated prices for groceries...

Walmart is cheaper.

Cheapest.

After about 50 years I'm ready to try them again. When I was a kid I liked the way the mashed potatoes were kind of gummy.

Comfort food.
I couldn't make money on stock. I thought people would load up on prepared frzn foods for the winter's pandemic lockdowns.
I was wrong

Banquet used to have some good single-serving apple pies. I haven't seen any for a long time.

We bought the Freezer Queen versions of that, mostly sliced turkey in gravy.

I remember turkey and gravy boil in bag, and large dinners with sliced turkey and gravy, mom would make instant mashed potato and open a can of either corn or green beans. We ate Spam - fried with over easy eggs or mixed in with scrambled eggs. I remember liking Tuna salad sandwiches, but won't eat them now. I also had fried baloney sandwiches with mustard. Those were yummy when I was young. I remember the shrimp coctail in the small glasses - my mom really liked that - we had about 8 of those glasses and when we had OJ we only got one glass each in that small glass LOL.

They still make them. Every once in a while I grab one, those and the sausage gravy pies are about the only banquet 'meals' I indulge in.
