I use these frozen meals to bring to work. I tolerated Banquet meals until my budget got better. Stoffers, Lean Quisine, & Marie Calendar’s are my favorites.

Other than when the kids were little, daddy was traveling and I liked to let the kids eat less than healthy foods once in awhile, I too used these frozen meals for work from time to time. Of course they are still not the healthiest meals regardless of the brand, but it doesn't hurt to enjoy, maybe once a week. I would add,as I have already mentioned I would never serve them at home. Marie Calendar's is probably the best
I still have a soft spot for Banquet turkey pot pies. Childhood memories include the fried chicken dinners, but I haven't had them in years.
Apparently, lots of people don't find then "nasty and smelly." More banquet meals are sold each year than Stouffers. I suspect the higher number of Banquet sold is due to Stouffers having appreciably higher prices.

As for me, if I'm eating a frozen meal, it's for lunch and it's weight watchers or Michelina's. Cheap and the ones with pasta aren't bad tasting.
I happen to love Banquet frozen pot pies. I usually eat the chicken ones. I prefer a Banquet pot pie over a Marie Callenders. (The other choice, at my grocery store.)
I will never...ever...EVER buy that brand as not only inedible, but nasty and unpleasant smelling so called Food". When I shop for frozen meals, 90% of the time its Stouffers..they are so tasty!
I suspect a lot of them are bought as a quick fix dinner for families that have kids on the go. I know I used to keep a supply in my freezer when my kids were young teens and always having to run off somewhere soon after I got home from work.
When they go on sale for $1, I will get the Mexican dinner ones, They are handy to have if we don't want to cook. Now do I like them or think they're fine dining, of course not, but ok in an emergency situation. I don't have any in the freezer at the moment, & haven't had any for a while, because if we are not going to cook, it is just as easy to get a take out or open up a can .
After my DH died, when I didn't care about anything, I ate the cheapo frozen meals (dollar dinners I called them). Then I realized I could make something better for less money, and got back to cooking.
They are cheap and quick for lunch at work or kids between school and practice. Good is way down the list when you only have a few minutes to get out the door for soccer practice.
