I purchase my cars with cash and I am thankful I do it that way. I also keep my cars for 10+ years and take care of them. If I were able to get a 0% loan then I would take advantage of it, but that hasn't been the case, so cash it was.

No doubt they have fine product...

Don't know if anything is the best.

We had plenty of Hondas with bad fuel pumps and rust can be a real problem.

On the used car lot... we found the older Toyotas to be a little more reliable...

I don't know... having my $800 Valiant for 30 years and only needing a water pump as a daily driver makes it my most reliable vehicle... it has 230k miles now and when I bought it... 80k miles.

I didn't count wear items like oil and lube, tires, battery, brake pads or 3 sets of plugs...

Yes the engines are good... but, they don't take overheating at all...

Any old Detroit cast iron motor will stand heat abuse better than any of the Japanese motors.

I'm a smoker and I'm allergic to cars. I think they should be banned at the workplace, parking lots shuttered, and freeways closed for the health of the public.

Me too. I have not had one in 5 years. It's a beautiful thing.

Then there's those old Model T's I see running around my hometown on occasion....

I think Hondas and Toyotas are great cars. I don't find Hondas comfortable though -- the seats really bother me.
