We picked some delicata squash and okras today! Yum! Will be making pie with the squash later this week (already ate the okra).

My neighbor was speaking very highly of delicata yesterday - I understand it's fabulous!

A nice green salad for lunch. Planting has been very late this year in Colorado because of severe weather, but I finally got tomatoes and peppers in the ground last night.

So far, just herbs, but it is getting closer every day. I am guessing in a couple of weeks we will be able to start picking our tomatoes and maybe a few peppers. The squah blossoms are just starting. Oh, we will soon have beans as well.

Another wonderful summer meal! Grilled yellow and zucchini squash, fried green tomatoes, pickled tomatoes, cucumber salad, with of course....lettuce and onion on a hamburger. Gosh I love summer!
