I picked my first water melon. Sugar baby type. This will be the only type I will grow in the future. All the other ones are bad or produced nothing.

Like you, this did not seem to be a tomato year. We have a neighbor who is in her mid 80s, does all her own yard work including mowing her 1 acre lot and has only 1 tomato plant, but I have never seen so many tomatoes in my life. We offered to help her eat them, but she didn't think she needed any help. She also has a couple of pepper plants, the same: huge bells. I just want to cry. I am getting a few cherry tomatoes. I am about to even stop the watering except for the one tomato plant and the okra. Next spring is another year and maybe with better results.

My wife's tired of picking beans so as soon as the ground is dry enough I'll till them in and plant cauliflower, broccoli, and Brussels sprouts. The second planting of summer squash is bearing, the third almost in bloom, the forth putting on true leaves. Fifth planting should be seeing the sun in another week. 10 days until the 6th planting is made. Anxiously waiting on the Lima beans to fill out and the first picking of okra in another day or two. Sweet corn is over. 50 strawberry plants coming on.

Half inch of rain last night. I picked several bags of green beans, 5 squash, and a bag of peppers. Tomatoes are looking really good. Hoping I get to harvest pumpkin and watermelon before it snows.

I harvested 3 Cinderella pumpkins today. Not huge, just a big bowl size.

Picked the first cherry tomatoes today. All 4, lol. Still eating fresh beets.

because the leaves most likely wont be up until September and you must water daily too . but the extension service where I live told me the days to plant the lettuce . and by September it is chilly and then October

Something destroyed a planter pot of the tiny summer squash that not even the bloom had developed on. First time for this. Just the squash not the plant.

that sounds like that it never got pollinated enough or never got pollinated at all and if my memory serves me right , you have to have pollination for flowers to occur and then fruit . I m just taking a guess of course .
