Haha, CC, I've got the UPS-look too.
I've been here 10 days, still have 32 boxes to unpack!
I estimate I've unpacked about 20.

But I've got a torn meniscus in my knee, and must take it easy. [as I learned in the last 2 days when I did too much walking].

So I do as much as I can.

It is interesting going thru boxes; some of them have been packed for years. Yesterday I found old pictures of my Dad and other family and friends which I will show him.
Plus found lots of letters my Dad wrote me.
Remember letters?
He is now 94, I am 67, and I had forgotten about how good he was at writing long comforting letters when I was going thru hard times. More for me to thank him for.

I've got it set up so I can comfortably do the necessary things: eat, sleep, computer.
Cat seems quite happy, and all cat-owners know how important that is!

The big plus here is - it is really really quiet. (I am in senior housing in an apartment building.)
My last place was insufferably noisy.
the biggest minus is that the kitchen is really tiny. But I'm sure I can get used to that and adapt.

I haven't been doing much redecorating, CC - got to get those boxes empty first.

Ellen, take it easy on that knee, heal and hale soon!

My sinus infection has returned, ugh, I am so weary; when DH gets up later I am going to the doc, no farting around this time.

Letters, I did save some. My granddaddy had the most beautiful handwriting, I always wished I could write as nicely.

I brought two boxes of stuff to the consign lady Sunday, and I'm packing another one now.

Well, our washer bit the big one just after the move. Only major issue. But Lowes delivered one the next day, and got a great deal on it to boot. So life goes on.

As part of our acclimation to our new FL neighborhood, we bought a used tandem kayak. Spent the weekend installing the rack on the SUV. A PVC home-made loader and we are off to Charlotte Harbor to see if we can get the hang of this.

I like to canoe, but now that I live in Florida I want to learn to paddleboard.

A new washer...sounds familiar to our dryer situation! Haha.

We have been trying to find a place to rent and so far have had absolutely no luck. We are having a hard time with the pet situation. We are supposed to move September 1st. I think I'm going to have to start spending a lot more time on the phone since the realtor has his hands full already. My class is over tomorrow so no more driving 4 hours round trip each day. Sigh of relief there.

Gosh, MB, the gas savings...........I hope that class was worth it.

Yay, another auction shipped and I have some bids on my Lladros! More stuff leaves the ranch!

It's cooler and I'm feeling better so might go scavenging in the attic or closet. I am getting rid of all my glaring logo bags and shoes.

Today I packed pretty much everything that I will be taking except for a few weeks of clothes. Leaving in 14 days for So Cal!!!!! leaving from South Carolina, so looking at like a 5 day drive. Yesterday got all the hotels along the way booked as well as a hotel in Long Beach for a few days to stay at until we find an apartment.

Hanging out with family, unlocking my phone and trying to go out on a date before I leave for Japan. I'm moving there on military orders.

Jedi, bless you for your service to our country. Will you be on a base? Barracks or a home?
Oh, to only have a duffle bag and be gone
