What streets in particular come to mind?

I had to walk an hour home from work at like 3-4 AM some nights. That was a little creepy at times lol Never felt unsafe but walking through a town for an hour at night when not a soul is out is spooky anywhere.

Some of the older areas around Locust st. I didn't like living in the area at first, but it grown on me. Most areas are eerie at night

Belle Glade, FL. I found out afterwards it does indeed have an infamous history.
Campti, LA. Less eerie than sad, but it is a bit weird to see this concentrated hub of poverty in the middle of the woods.
Kiryas Joel, NY. Don’t take my word for it, look it up.
Gary, IN. Yes, it’s ruin porn, but unlike the last two it’s weird because you can see how proud it used to be.
East St. Louis, IL. There’s not much to say here other than that it’s really weird to see so much nothingness where 100,000 people used to be.
Most of the small towns in PA. There’s a lot of rust belt pain in this state, and I just get a lot of bad juju there.

I've never really felt that full towns were eerie though?

Jerome is creepy in the winter months when it is empty. It is pretty busy in early and late summer

Was recently passing by Niagara Falls, NY.

Night and day between the New York side and the Ontario side.

Also recently heard of some environmental fiasco from back in the day.

You know what blew my mind in Chattanooga, TN? All the views, VIEWS, from mountain tops of nuclear power plants. Also, escape routes from those areas, clearly marked on signage. Wow.
