Every western city has either great mountain views, ocean views, or palms/cacti/redwoods/unusual trees. Rest of the country, including the Northeast, can seem physically bland in comparison.

I love their weather but not worth the money. I do not want to pay 4k a month for a nice condo put to my standard of living.

They don't, but unless there are ways to get to those mountains for free, the person would be stuck.

There is some public transit to the local mountains. Either way to somehow insinuate people on the west coast are too poor to enjoy the natural amenities anymore than anywhere else is ridiculous.
