No offense to anybody else, the NYC area back in the day ran the show. Everything else is pretty much garbage, particularly southern rap. I don't even know what those animal noises are.

Is he dead or locked? He hasn't released anything since 2017 and there's very little information on him. I don't see any social media accounts either...
lol they definitely do trap in Cambridge bruv. Especially back in the 90s and early 2000s. We don't consider Cambridge a suburb like that. it's not gritty but it has players for sure. Mostly in the Coast and Portside. The rent control era of Cambridge was a[b]very [/Bdifferent Cambridge. They still have one mega-high rise housing project and some others they've got a few MS-13 and one or two of their own little gangs like MP-45. But overall a very safe and pleasant city. For sure. And much more so since 2010 especially. People really like Cambridge and theyve got a lot of culture. It's not dangerous at all but generally if someone from Cambridge says they are shooting at opps I'm not gonna question it. They don't feel a need to like be cool or be Boston even. They're really just them and some of them do 'shoot at opps', alwys have, i can confirm.
Again its not tough but the young black and latino men in Cambridge are FARfrom suburban. They mostly work with a Manhattan-esque Roxbury/Harlem.South End type energy. lotta rappers (not really good IMO, you dont have to listen- im just showing you...)
It looks like they're more about getting money and trapping rather than petty street beefs and killing each other (outside of MS13).
I couldn't finish the first video. Sounds like he's trying to talk with a London accent rapping over a UK drill beat, while dressing like he's from Chicago, lol.
[quote=CincyExpert;63669346]Here are some joints from the golden era of Cincinnati hip hop in the early-mid 2000s:
This puts the " Cincinnati is Southern or Midwestern" debate to rest. If you told me an Atlanta rapper made this I wouldn't doubt you for a second. It's like Southern with some East Coast sprinkled in which defines the city pretty well.

Big Leano is a real trapper and he raps about "and i been trappin so hard i almost forgot bout the booth." I know his neighborhood and his street had several shootings and homicdes in 106 and 2017 and he was known to be a deviant in general. He disappeared after being on Cousin Stizz's One Night Only Album on the song Store. He is best known for his local hit "Lean for Sale (i got lean for sale, straight codeine for sale).
He likely got locked up or just saw no money in rapping. I think RCA put the money up for that DARK video which was shot in LA with Stizzy.
