I'll vote for him.

Only because I'm the type of person who enjoys the drama that can come when an unqualified candidate gets into office. If I could I'd vote for Larry Elder for governor in California for the same reason

There is something quixotically romantic about the Republican party still trying to court the black vote after all these years. I can't say I exactly know what it is about the DNC that black people love so much, but the iron grip they have on them is incredible.

Maybe it will change? The DNC is more and more positioning itself as the party of upper-middle class college-educated white women while the Republicans welcome in lower-income people more and more, which I HAVE to imagine will start to get the black DNC vote under 95%? Maybe? I mean, let's be real, your median black guy has a LOT more in common with a Trump supporter from west Georgia than he has with a champagne socialist woman from Decatur. The tension on this can't last forever. I don't know, it's interesting.

Spend more time thinking about what it is about the GOP that they dislike so much and you will have it figured out. Throwing token candidates or celebrities out like Walker and thinking they will persuade black voters simply because they share the same skin color means they are nowhere near understanding the disdain. That applies not just to black voters as the GOP seems uninterested in courting the growing diverse urban/suburban populations and intent on riding out a shrinking voter base till the very end. Places like Georgia and metro Atlanta, and Arizona and metro Phoenix are perfect examples of this.

I'm not sure that it is the Republican party welcoming in lower-income people. From what I have seen and experienced, they are targeting the lesser educated people. I think lower-income naturally follows.
