Personally, I use the stalls but I'm still uncomfortable with someone who is biologically male being able to come inside a public restroom or locker room.

Why? What is it about them in the locker room that makes you uncomfortable. (BTW, I am not trying to bait you or be sarcastic, I really am tryign to find the logic in it)

Because a restroom and lockeroom are both intimate setting which I do not want to have some strange guy being able to walk in whenever he feels like it. Allowing any male who claims that he is a female on the inside would open up a huge can of worms where any man with nefarious intents could claim he is a woman but is only interested in peeping or attack women in the restroom or locker room. This is an issue where safety should take precendence over the feelings of a few gender-confused folks.
But what would keep a man from doing that anyway? I mean unless he disrobed himself, you wouldn't know anyway. History teaches us that fear of the unknown or hypothetical is never a good excuse for creating civil rights laws. I jst still can;t figure out how anyone would know if a transgendered person was using a certain restroom or not unless they were walking around naked. And fi that was the case, I would report them regardless of whether they ware male or female.

You are correct. Also, wherever such laws have been passed, this 'bathroom' issue has been a non-issue. For the record, transsexual women have no more of an interest in seeing people they don't know naked than anyone else does. The people who go around trying to get a glimpse of the private parts of people they don't know have problems that don't have anything to do with Transsexuality.
My dear, don't blame it on me if you miscommunicated your point. A poster mentioned he would ahve his kids try and hold it instead of using a public restroom, and instead of staying on topic, you decided to make an issue of his parenting style by your snide remark "Healthy habit to teach your kids there."
We all knew what you meant by it. So if you want to take it back or if you miscommunicated your point, then you can kindly say so. But don't place it on me and say I'm overeacting as a parent and get all pissy towards me. Take responsibility for what you typed and move on. I think you've hijacked this thread enough anyway. Try to stick to the point, or close to it anyway.
miscommunication, oopsies!
Speaking of hijacking, I wasn't the one who started the whole "public restrooms are gross" slant in this thread.

So if a transgendered male-female begins to change in front of you and the she-male pulls out a penis, would you be ok with this?
ever care to think that many transgendered people are very uncomfortable w/ their own body? they are probably more likely to use a stall to change at the gym than a regular female b/c they don't want to be viewed as being different or as being male when they feel female. I doubt they're going to be whipping out any male parts when they are in public w/ a group of females. they want other women to see them as women and that kind of defeats the purpose. so they're going to be far more discreet and either use stalls or just go home to change, at least until they go all the way w/ the surgeries and appear more feminine
the above obviously doesn't take into account those people of either sexual/gender orientation who just like to flaunt what they have.

You nailed it! There is not one pre-op M-F transsexual anywhere who is going to 'whip out' a penis in front of anyone. Its just not going to happen.
