Honestly? You could have been charged with a crime. Are you aware of that?
Of course I am aware of that. It was a learning experience. I have never, ever been banned from a casino before this. It was a one time mistake that I will not allow to happen again.
No. Unless of course you're ready for every other harmful thing in the world to be banned too.
This is how I feel to. I wish cigarettes never existed, but they do, and if we start outlawing them... we'd have to start outlawing everything else that was bad for us.... soda's, junk food, fast food... What about tanning salons, fake nails, hair color, bleach, most makeup, synthetic perfumes, bras, high heels... I mean... can you imagine how scary women would look if we outlawed all that stuff that's bad for us? Yikes! And what about automobiles? I mean... car exhaust is killing us, too... are we going to outlaw cars? What about synthetic pesticides? Can we all immediately switch to eating organic and having less than perfectly-artificially-green lawns? Hmmm...
And besides... outlawing alcohol didn't work... and outlawing recreational drugs isn't working... I don't know why anyone would think outlawing cigarettes would work.
I'm tempted to say yes because a ban will fail and then maybe we won't have to be harrangued about this issue all the time.
Understand I have a respiratory condition. My Dad now has one due to smoking. I do not like smoking and am glad we're restricting it more than in ye-olden days. I think anyone who started smoking in the last 25 years is/was a fool and I include loved ones who started in that period. Still at some point it becomes like "enough already, we get the point."
That being said I don't really favor a ban. I think I'd prefer we do more research or support for methods to quit. Maybe require a picture of an elderly smoker on every pack, and make the cigarettes pink, to discourage the young from smoking.
Ban automobiles. They throw more poison into the air that a smoker could ever contribute.
All this cigarette, anti smoking stuff is a smoke screen to distract from the real issue of clean air.. I have yet to hear on the news that cigarette smokers have been at it hard and heavy causing a "Ozone Alert"! We can get away from cigarette smoke easy, we can not get away from the pollution outside. THAT is what needs to be addressed and fixed! It effects far more people than cigarette smoke.
Yes they should be outlawed, BUT it will never happen as the tax revenue gained from the stupid that still smoke is too significant. But that only points out the stupidity of the elected that don't have the foresight to recognize the cost of caring for smoking related illness, work missed, fires, etc. far exceeds the revenue from tobacco taxes.
Back in the day, cigarettes were pure tobacco. What passes for cigarettes today are crammed full of preservative additives. Should be they outlawed? My answer is no. There are other things far more worthy of banning and smokers already have so many restrictions on where they can smoke that it's gone from the sublime to the ridiculous. I finally quit after 45 years and think I've beaten it this time around ...
If i choose to smoke anything in my home, car, or a private location, its none of your business what it is.

If you live with children, it is their health being compromised by being forced to breathe that toxic smoke constantly.
Are you so selfish that you don't care about how it affects them?
Throwing the drink on him had nothing to do with alcohol. If I had a cup of water, or soda, I would have done the same thing.
I wasn't talking about the alcohol in your glass, I was talking about the alcohol in your body.
I had a friend that worked for Staff Pro. They're a company that provides low level security guys to large venues for concerts and whatnot. I remember him telling me once that they'd instructed their employees to leave the people smoking pot alone, but keep an eye on the people drinking. Any guess as to why they'd ignore the people using the illegal substance, but watch the people using the legal one?

If you had read his post - and the next one - diligently, you would have seen that he was/is conscious of and careful about smoking around others.
