I think I might be done conversing with you in this thread. It'd be different if this were in the PoC forum, but this forum is supposed to be more civilized, and frankly, I just don't think I can be civil with you any longer. Your utter inability to comprehend the most basic of concepts is remarkably frustrating, and I don't care to keep explaining them to you as though you were a five year old. At some point, you're going to have to think like an adult if you expect to hold conversations at an adult level.
alcohol is way worse than pot no if ands or buts.. i know a lot of people that have givin up booze< but smoke pot and are way better people for it..my brother was a full fledged alcoholic by the time he was 15. it almost killed him, he has been dry for 25 years!!!! and smokes pot for glocoma now and you could not tell the difference of when he smokes it or not.. i myself light up once in a while and rarly drink alcohol.. alcohol is up there with haroin crack meth.
and as far as cigarettes yes it's not a good habit, but compaired to alcohol it's like compairing a fly to godzilla
example i crashed 6 vehicles drinking alcohol in my younger days!!! i have never crashed a vehicle on pot niether has my brother or alot of people i know..
and while you on the subject about banning cigaretts, i think casinos should be banned gambling is one of the worst habits known to mankind.. not even a severe cocaine addicted can snort a 100 thousand dollars of coke in one night!! but a severe gambling addict can blow one million in one night.
oh and why don't they ban building cities in the middle of deserts
Hey now, there's no reason to bash Las Vegas. This guy is not representative of the entire metropolitan area. We have about 2.5 million people in the valley - most are regular people, just like you.
Coincidentally, I watched a PBS documentary on the entire history of Las Vegas last night. It covered it's beginnings as a railroad stop up to it's present day status. It was very interesting - I recommend checking it out.
If i choose to smoke anything in my home, car, or a private location, its none of your business what it is.
When your coughing up your lungs and wasting the time, money, and resources of our health care system in this country cause you demand your right to continue a proven stupid and suicidal practice, then hell yes it IS everyone's business.

Get a life first, and learn how to read. I have no problem at all with you smoking in your car or your backyard. Read the whole thread first before posting nonsense.

I was always at, or near, the top of my class going to school. I did not go to college, or any other secondary education, but I can still have reasonably decent grammar unlike this guy who is obviously a high school dropout.

A lot of good points have been made in this thread. After hearing everyone's arguments, I can see I am a little off on my first post. As I said earlier, I have been personally affected by this. I am now physically ill because of smokers. 2 years ago I was flat broke and had no choice but to move into a place where all of the residents smoked. There were 8 of them. They all smoked in the house. Everyday I left the house, I smelled like smoked and my eyes were burning. I was also constantly coughing and having problems breathing. Thankfully, I only lived there for 3 months. The problem is, I was fine before I moved in there, and the symptoms I described are still persisting to this day even know I have never lived with smokers since then. I would not doubt I have lung cancer now. Regardless, I did move in with the smokers knowing it would not be a good idea. It was either move in there, or be homeless. It was the middle of summer in Las Vegas, but looking back I wish I would have chose to be homeless for a while instead. I now think the answer lies in making them really expensive, as in taxing the hell out of them($10 a pack or so), and banning them in all public places. That way, they would still remain legal, but most people would quit. What do you think?
