Korea has a gdp that is on par with Libya-an african country, estonia-a former soviet republic and taiwan. All have some economic development but lots of poverty. Not necessarily rural poor, but still poor. Korea is poor by american standards a gdp of 17k and most 1st world countries have at least 30k and developed countries have at the very least 20k. I mean chezh republic is considered still developing and it has 21k gdp and I have been told so by Czech people.
lol. you think majority of koreans are living in ghettoes? the cost of living there is different. you can't just compare gdp. korea is not poor but you can keep believing that.

most koreans live with every modern convenience available and it's the most wired country on earth. you are just ignorant. you haven't lived in korea and you are arguing with me about what korea is like.

besides that, i actually like the rural areas better, it's quite quaint and charming. i don't consider it that poor a quality of life either but still korea is a modern country.

and to compare lifestyle. i think they live a more modern lifestyle as well and no less modern than a lot of americans who have to room or live in cheap or average apartments or houses, higher crime(korea has low crime), and also low paying jobs, high taxes etc. american life certainly doesn't feel that progressive.

pay attention: 30k in america is nothing. it costs a lot more to live in america. even as a single person, you could barely live comfortably on that.

i don't find for the most part america is that 'progressive' in actual experience no matter what this 'ranking' says. it's about as fault proof as dining guides. PLUS the gap between the rich and poor in america is a lot wider than in korea.

but poor baby, if it makes you feel better, keep on believing every country is poor and 'undeveloped', 'sucks'(subjective), blah blah etc besides america.

interesting korea feels more civilized in day to day experience than most of america. maybe it's all the 'dumb' americans stereotype. LOL

america is not viewed correctly either, it's viewed with a favorable light whereas other countries tend to be viewed negatively in comparison. there is 'lots of poverty', ghettoes, redneck towns, rundown trailer parks, lots of country churches etc in america. and they seem very, very 'backwards' as well.

Are we talking North or South Korea?

I'd beg to differ from the North. South Korea is very progressed.

of course he's talking about the south, he referred to cho sueng hui and where he's from.

besides, anyone with a shred of knowledge of world politics knows north korea is a militaristic communist country.

A UNC study showed that Hispanics are 2.5 times more likely to be drunk in a car wreck than whites and 3 times more likely than blacks. They are 7% of the population and 18% of the DUIs.

I think we can conclude from this that Hispanics, when they are sober, are much safer drivers than whites, and have accidents only when they are drunk. Whereas whites have a lot of their accidents when they are sober.

As for the DUIs, I bet Hispanics are a lot more likely to be pulled over for routine traffic stops than whites, too, which by itself would lead to a lot more findings of various offenses.

Who did those immigrants displace?
