(Less sarcastic this time) Good news everyone! The satellite and 3D view on Google maps has been updated. Looks like maybe it was done in February of this year. Lots has changed since the last satellite image. Project Slugger is up, all of Carroll at Bellemeade, Hampton Inn, UNCG buildings along Gate City are up. Kinda fun to see Greensboro from above closer to the way it actually looks now.

I admit I don't understand the process of preparing a worksite for construction but I drove by yesterday and saw a utility locating service truck parked nearby. Not sure if they're still mapping out stuff underground or what. The truck could also have nothing to do with the Westin site.
