They redid the southern part of Greene St. near the Carolina Theater a few years ago, but the northern portion is still a one-way mess.

And who knows when that section will be two way. I've seen visitors driving the wrong way several times because of the confusion.

Only a few blocks of Greene is one way which is why it's screwed up. However, I wonder how it is you think Eugene is a mess. It's two-way from one end to the other with turning lanes, crosswalks, and such

Well, it's not a very attractive street. The sidewalks are old and fairly narrow, there's basically no trees, and there's very little on-street parking which is probably needed if they want to get some retail in this project. Then it turns into a six-lane highway one block south that awkwardly weaves through a few blocks before vaulting over the railroad tracks to Lee St.

I have read several post from different people indicating with all of the construction that is currently going on in downtown, the skyline of Greensboro is getting ready to change drastically for the better. Being that I don't live in GSO anymore I have to rely on what I read.......with that being said, the construction that I have been reading about is Bellemeade Village and the new PAC. These are very low rise developments and my question is how will this change the skyline drastically. These are under 9 floors and will hardly be able to be seen from a distance. If anyone out there can enlighten me, I surely would appreciate it. I am so waiting on project 561 to come to fruition and am hoping that Carroll can get the 70% occupancy to make this a reality. Come on GSO, let's build upward! Hit me back gsoboi78...you always have really good up to date information.

This is going to look great overlooking the ballpark! The entire ballpark district is booming with development. There is already a grocery store, other apartments and new restaurants and breweries opening up

Carroll at Bellemeade (Bellemeade Village) website is up but still under construction

Damn that looks nice. i was skeptical of the last design, it was abit to suburban for my taste, but that, that's pretty impressive, looks very urban, i like it alot, it's going to look great and completely transform an area that's already unrecognizable.

Let's hope between Lebauer & Tanger closing off that entire block it doesn't kill Café Europa.
