...Why can't they fix greene street? all the development going on around it, and they can't fix that road... that road will never see the type of activity Elm sees if they don't do it properly. honestly. half is two way, the rest is one way..
anyway, here are some updates on the ball park area.
Incredible how this once forgotten part of downtown is Growing so quickly. With future plans for Roy Carrols Project 561, this is the area too watch.
cool pic! yeah looks like its older because the old main post office on East Market Street in the photo hasn't been demolished yet. The Center Point tower is nearly complete so I'm judging around 2008.
Small performing arts venue under construction next to the future LeBauer Park. The venue will be added on to the Greensboro Cultural Arts Center and is part of an emerging cultural district which includes the cultural arts center, the main library, the children's museum, the Greensboro Historical Museum, the Stevens Tanger Center for the Performing Arts, Center - City Park and the future LeBauer Park which ties all these cultural attractions together.
LeBauer Park is really taking shape. Hard to believe it will open this summer. The Triad Business Journal has photos in the link below including the sculpture. This really is a cool and very unique urban park. The combination of both LeBauer Park and Center-City Park will make it seem like one big park
The first building of the Union Square interuniversity campus is looking good.
The Hyatt Place hotel at the Carroll at Bellemeade complex is coming along nicely. The cranes will be rising soon. construction has also started on the apartment buildings
LeBauer Park photo update. The park will be open in time for the National Folk Festival.
The area in the foreground will have a putting green for golf lovers. The expansion on the Cultural Arts Building will be a part of a small performing arts venue that will seat up to 500 people.
