Now.. Don't get me wrong.. There needs to be something done.. I don't particularly think "Use whatever bathroom you like" is the answer, nor is "You must use the bathroom set on your birth certificate" the answer.
Each side probably needs to start looking at that middle ground rather than standing their own ground, completely apart.
And.. That guy in Seattle was doing it to prove a point.. Not because (or at least, not ONLY because) he is a freak or something. But.. He did make the point. It can, and will, happen for real.
Important to remember also is that these laws apply to public buildings. It does nothing to stop private businesses from having whatever policy, pro or con, they like.
Personally.. So far as a bathroom.. In todays world.. Who cares? A woman walks into a mens room, or a guy walks into a womens room.. It's not like there's a toilet in the middle of the floor. There's partitions even between urinals in the mens room. A LOCKER ROOM, however, is a totally different story.
