Panda Express going in the former Freddie's on Woodruff Rd. (apparently, Freddie's closed, which is news to me)
That is good news regarding the Panda Express which I have been wanting for a long time. Hopefully that location will be OK, but Jack in the Box and Freddy's did not make it there.
Freddies was overpriced in my view, and didn't seem better than the low budget Cookout.
I do agree Freddy's was too pricey. But I am not a fan of Cook-Out either. Other than their shakes, I do not think their food is very good. I just don't quite understand all the hype for Cook-Out. Personally I preferred Checkers a lot better and I wish they would return. And I also like Culver's better than Freddy's.

I don't really care for french fries (or fast food in general), but I use to love to get the Checker's/Rally's fries when I lived in SoFla once in a while. It's nice they have them in the grocery store now, so when I have a hankering, they're available.

Metro Burger opened in 2012, and the owners rebranded to Del's Twisted Kitchen the following year. It closed its doors in early 2014. I kept meaning to try both of 'em out but never got around to it.
Seeing what's happening now, it's kinda funny seeing this post from 5 years ago:
