PetSmart #2559 will locate in Fairview Station, 621 Fairview Road, Simpsonville, South Carolina 29680-6706. It will lease and occupy a 5,995 square feet space.
Reviewing site plans, PetSmart #2559 may be occupying the former Dragon Den restaurant or opening next to Kohl's.
A link directing to the project listing and plans for PetSmart #2559 in my previous post is broken. The correct link:
"PetSmart #2559 (Simpsonville, SC)." LDI-Line. Retrieved 2014-10-29. <http://ldiline.com/home.cfm?id=183270>
The plans for PetSmart #2559 would be the files under "Architecture".

Also vacant Pier One space to watch in Simpsonville for a new retailer. I would have thought that would have been a much better location for Petsmart.(closer to neighborhoods and easier to get to). Maybe Petco will go for the old Pier One space. One usually follows the other.

I agree that would be a better location, slightly more upscale.
But on the other hand, I don't want to see the Kohl's shopping center go downhill. It's possible, sometime in the future, that Ingles may move to a larger location.

I will agree Ingle's Markets #41 may relocate to a new freestanding location somewhere. Two Ingle's stores in Simpsonville can be feasible.
Ingle's missed a good opportunity for a new store #41 at Fairview Station when Kmart closed ten years ago. The former Kmart could have been demolished, and a new Ingle's store with drive through pharmacy open. Although it is in a good location, a new store would definitely compete with Bi-Lo, Publix and Walmart.
Unless Ingle's goes back to opening stores within 50,000 to 65,000 square feet, its new 80,000 square feet stores with adjacent fuel centers usually occupy 15-acre sites.
A little activity here in Simpsonville...! One of the shopping centers at S. Main has two new spots. The one that used to belong to Sugar High, Palmetto Trends, Jeanie's Magic the Gathering, and I believe a jewelry store at one point is now home to Chick-a-Pearl. They sell American Girl-style dolls and accessories, although I get the sense that it's their own line of dolls, and it's in some way faith-based. Also, the long-closed Amanzi Tea location there has been rebranded Tea n' Things.
I've noticed the lights on at 430 S. Main St. in the location where Duncan's Roadside BBQ used to be. Definitely people putting together some kind of restaurant in there. I seem to remember someone here saying that the space was leased long ago by some local pizza joint. Progress?
Rick Erwin announced he's opening a new restaurant on Pelham Rd at the vacated Coal Fire Bistro location.
