if anybody is wondering, the new building being constructed on Haywood on the airport side is for light industrial such as warehouses and office space.

Industrial/office flex project under construction near Haywood Road - Upstate Business Journal

Not retail or restaurant. And it's near Haywood, not on Haywood.

i don't think it hurt to post it here and i didn't think it was worth its own thread.

i never stated it is restaurant or retail. i specifically said it was for light industrial and office space. i was curious as to what it is, so when I found out, i posted the article in case other people are.

the only thing between it and Haywood is an empty field. but all the details are in the linked article.

I think someone mentioned earlier in the thread that Tropical Grille would be opening a downtown Greenville location. Greenville News today confirmed it would be in the former Pita Pit location.

Just checked- it's Sweet Treats in Seneca. Can only find a facebook page for them.

It desperately needs it but I hope it isn't like the renovation at the Taylors store. I was thinking they should have rebuilt facing Woodruff in the parking lot and then tear down the existing one. That shopping center needs some love.
