I'm the same but even worse now as far as traveling. I've been around the United Stated in each state except Alaska, been through all of Canada and all along Baja Mexico yet it unnerves me to go to the next town now. Very insecure but have hopes that will improve with time. I cannot possibly go anywhere for more then a day or two with my critters...Whitey is on medications and I would worry so much I wouldn't enjoy myself. I think a lot of it comes from my situation and it will improve with time...I hope! Had a good day at work but am so tired.....did a lot of stocking. My cash register was perfect--yes!

Fall is in the air and the trees are really getting some color now. Really beautiful! Our drive to the mountains on Sunday should be perfect timing for the colors...
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

May be I expect too much color, but it seems in recent years the fall colors have been muted and scattered, no panoramas of color. Talking central NJ... my be the colors where we lived 25 years ago about 30 miles NE of here has more dramatic change.

They same the times of the year and dramatic colors change with the elevation, amount of rain, temperatures etc. Not sure about your area. I know the first year we moved here 8 years ago the colors were amazing right here in our town. I'm only going to the mountains to go for a hike with my girlfriend and hopefully the colors will be lovely too. I know there are several waterfalls in the area--just hope I can keep up. She is conditioned and I am far from conditioned. I'll just do what I can.....

I am beat....got called in to work for another girl yesterday and worked until 9:30pm last night and have to go in this morning too for the day shift. Plus I have to do inventory on my ebay--things are really mixed up and I couldn't find an item I sold yesterday and had to cancel it. Really stressful.

Drove 3 hours to go on a 2 1/2 mile hike in the mountains---lots of uphill--to see a waterfall and the colors of the leaves. Breath taking. Only God could make something so beautiful! Had good company and the weather was perfect! I'm very tired but happy we make the trip! We talked about our end of life experiences with our husbands and although sad it did feel good to talk about it. It feels good to have someone who has walked those steps and understands as a trusted friend to talk with. Like my friends here!!

So good to hear what a beautiful day you had Cyn.

I'm so isolated I can only dream of such excursions, these days.

And YAY on your till too - its not easy to be 100% all day every day and you did it!

Hi Cyn,

Wow, you have grown on all levels over the last year. You might not realize all that you have accomplished and achieved but you are doing amazingly well for yourself. I am so happy for you.

I miss Elston, does anyone know if he is okay?

Hugs to you all!!!

I believe he is on vacation--I may be wrong but I remember looking at his thread a while back and he made mention of getting excited about it. I miss him too!
I wish I had the confidence in myself that you have in me smilin! I feel like it is such a long slow journey to find myself. But thank you--I need all the positive I can get. Have to go help my neighbor with ALS right now---Have a blessed day everyone!

I'm back...just had to sit with the man, my neighbor with ALS, and their grandson while the wife drove the other grandson to school. Their grown children live with them and help them but they went on a cruise so I'm filling in. Breaks my heart to see his ALS and how bad he is getting. He will survive longer then my husband because his started in his legs while my husbands started in the lungs and neck. Any way you look at it it's sad.
Rainy day here so maybe I can get this house cleaned. I work tomorrow and the next day so not much time for cleaning. I took Whitey to the vet for another antibiotic shot for his dental issues yesterday. Thank the Lord for my job as it will help pay for that! Poor little guy can hardly eat when his teeth get in such bad shape. The vet said he would not want to put Whitey under anesthesia to fix his teeth in his condition and I couldn't really afford it anyhow so we take it day by day like everything else.
