My guess is that Safe Travels is quietly disappearing ahead of the announced schedule.

Again, only a guess.

Press conference today at 1pm by Ige on mask mandate.

Best guess - when the emergency order expires on Mar 25 that is when it is lifted. A bonus is earlier.

Extending the emergency order is nearly impossible to be upheld - as no real emergency exists anymore.

I found this interesting that some people want to keep them on indefinitely.

If people aren't comfortable ditching a mask - then by all means, keep one on. Others would like to move on.

But if you are going to keep wearing a mask - stop wearing a cloth mask or those surgical masks - they do literally nothing to stop you from getting the virus - get a N95 mask and do yourself a favor. If you are going to mask up - at least do it right.

Yup! On TV right now it says the mask mandate ends at 11:59 pm. on March 25th.

Yahoo!

Edited to add: They sure are whipping this dead horse!

Endless discussion of all the reasons they might bring it back and the fact that businesses (and schools) can maintain the mask mandate after it officially ends.

Tomorrow night, the indoor mask mandate ends for Hawaii. It's about time!

Meanwhile, schools have announced that they will keep it anyway. WTF! Kids are in the lowest risk category.

Why keep it?

It ends tonight - 11:59pm, not tomorrow.

Masks required per Federal mandate on public transportation, airports, and things like Uber - and classrooms (including UH)

School rules are dictated by the local districts here in Alaska. Some still require masking, others don't.

Oops, I meant tonight.
