Still waiting. I will continue to wear masks in crowds, stores, and work as mandated.

NEWSFLASH: Maui drops the booster requirement for travel now that Hawaii Covid cases are plummeting. Effective date: Feb. 7th.

No word (as usual) from Gov. Ige.

I'm in Vegas and they dropped the mask mandate at 10am yesterday - it is wonderful and with California dropping it - and Oregon, NY, Illinois etc - Hawaii needs to do the same.

LOL. Yeah, right. With governor Cautious calling the shots?

Ain't happening, and it sounds like there's still a lot of public support for masks too. Not that I like it...

Three of my grandkids and 9 friends will arrive in LV tomorrow. I would have joined them but I'm 30-40 years older than any of them, LOL! They are happy to ditch the masks. I hope that comes to Hawaii soon!
I will probably return to LV in June.

My best guess - day 1 of no masks - almost 50% kept them on. Day 2 - maybe 25%. Day 3 - it is a rare occurrence to see someone with one on.

Default Safe Travels Going Away!

It looks like there is finally light at the end of the tunnel (and it isn't a train).

QUOTE: Gubernatorial hopeful Green said that he believes that the Safe Travels will go first, and he expects that to come within the next 30 days, by mid-March.

ALSO: Lt. Gov. Green said that by early April he expects Hawaii will quit its indoor mask mandate.

Hallelujah!!!

Unfortunately, one of my grandsons lost his phone yesterday in Las Vegas (along with his a$$) which contained his Safe Travels Documents. At least he has the paper copy of his vaccination records.
