I don't have anything luxurious, really.

The only decent thing I can think of is the tiny piece of quartz countertop I have in my kitchen. Ha!

Hm, still a work in progress. Not sure about "luxurious" but we've spent quite a bit of money on several projects in our 1989 home. I'd say our kitchen - new countertop, flooring, backsplash, fixtures. Need to add plantation shutters and change crown molding . Our master bath - we redid the 80s shower and new floors but still have the old marble tub so that takes a few points off to be considered "luxurious". Our outdoor kitchen area though is. New island with granite top, replaced slate tile counter with granite, new full sized granite composite sink and ORB pull out faucet, repainted existing cabinets, new hardware, added several upper cabinets to complete the look.

Good question

For us it's the ceiling heights. We are fanatics about ceiling height. We wouldn't even consider a home that had 8 foot ceilings on the first floor

We have 10 foot ceilings on the first floor. If I were going to build a house I would put that height on both the first and second floor

yeah, went a bit wild with it when I built the addition. The old master had a bathroom about the size of yours where it was tight for one person, much less two adults getting ready for work in the morning. So when I built a 600 SF addition over the garage to make into a new master suite, the bathroom was a big part of it. This is a 3D render of it before we built it...

An abundance of wonderful windows that all easily open and close and are positioned so that we can open them in any combination to create soft cross breezes. The views and natural light are nice too. Like WildCard we live on a mountain, albeit it a somewhat urban one.

Our king sized tempurpedic mattress. I always thought the hype about them was bull. My hubby was in a car accident a few years ago and he had back trouble from it. His Dr. recommended getting the mattress and I will *never* go back to any other kind.

Hi emm74,
I like your bathroom. It really looks luxurious.
The luxurious item in my home is kitchen and bath flooring.
Thanks!!

Hey~ You have a roof over your head! ... There are many different ideals and levels of so-called luxuries and many have nothing to do with stuff or possession... I've seen pic of your place posted up here, it's lovely and unique !
