Warning!

If you buy this type of alarm (the ones that talk to each other) wear ear plugs or sound cancelling headphones when you set them up. Not only is the speech loud from them (even buried in a towel) they test every time you add one and they all go off and tell you where the smoke is. First one gives the beep and message by itself, then you add one so then i'ts two. Then three. Then four. By the time I got done I had all five going off.

Dang!

Way beyond time! Smoke detectors only have a 10 year life, max.

They were still working, but I'm not one to push it. The people that owned this house before us could not spell the word maintenance let alone pronounce it. The majority of the work I've done here has been electrical. He fancied himself a DIYer, but couldn't fix his way out of a paper bag.

Four foot led lights for the master bedroom closet. The spot lights aren't cutting it. Only needed three, but got four because of cost. I'm sure I'll find a spot for the last one.

Replacing compact fluorescent lights with LED lights with a 5000K rating. Much, much brighter. Fluorescents ranged from 2500K to 3000K.

Replacing dishwasher with a quiet model. There is a big difference.

And replacing range with double burner convection model. Heats up and cooks much faster and more evenly.
