I saw that.
Public Schools really shot up that list.
UTSA jumped like 90 spots and UH CL jumped about 50 spots

UT RGV jumped about 70 spots. I didn't know it ranked higher than UTSA and Texas State.

Then again I didn't know UH CL ranked on the National Universities list either.

Meanwhile, I thought Stephen F Austin was a National University.

University of Dallas and UNT Dallas still regional schools?

DFW has a good mix up public schools around the metro, but it is odd that Dallas proper doesn't have any public national schools

Austin
UT - 32

Houston
Rice - 17 private
UH - 133
St Thomas 216 - private
UH-CL- 304
TSU- 394+

San Antonio
UTSA- 289
Incarnate Word - 296 Private
Lady of the Lake - 394+ private

Dallas
SMU - 89 private
Dallas Baptist -376 private

Fort Worth
TCU - 98 private
Texas Wesleyan - 394+ private

Houston lacks major public schools outside the city and Dallas lacks major public schools in the city. But I guess Richardson and Irving would count for city of Dallas if CL counts for Houston.
Houston needs to get on the ball with large schools outside the city. Sam Houston State and PV are the only ones that come to mind. And I guess A&M is close enough.

UT Dallas is ranked #115 nationally. I know it has a good reputation for STEM, and is particularly popular with pre med students.

Yeah I know. That's why I said if UH clear lake counted for Houston then UT-Dallas should count for Dallas even though it is in Richardson

Another recent one that was trending is House of Ho. Also Mo and the new top chef season but those were already covered here.
Thanks for putting us on. I’ve really appreciated your contributions over the last couple of months hell years to the Houston forum.

I think the city actually has some big ones outside of the city they’re just either too brand new or too low of a barrier to entry for them to enter a more reputable list. I actually think more University’s at least from an undergrad perspect should be growing

TMC3/Helix Park is already hasn’t opened its initial phase and is already being expanded (sort of)? MD Anderson cancer center breaks down just south of Helix Park

ARPA-H sites should be announced soon, and if Houston is selected this area will explode.
