This flight is attempting to fly into a Cat 5 hurricane
and not only makes it, but it is flying back. San Juan was only reporting 20 mph winds at landing, but impressive timing + maneuvering around the hurricane. Wonder if the passengers understood how close they were
Lower pressure makes them stronger, and high pressure makes them weaker. High pressure should be good news.
Wind speed is proportional to change in pressure / distance. If outside the hurricane is higher pressure, than the pressure difference is larger -> stronger winds. Not good news. A higher pressure hurricane would be weaker, but I'm referring to the pressure outside the storm.

And at this point south Florida needs to understand that it's most likely going to be a Cat 3 or 4 coming close whether or not the eye makes landfall there the effects are going to be rough
