Center of Isaias is 20 miles west of Albany right now. Here's a loop past 4hrs. Its racing out of here NNE at 40mph. Pressure at 995mb. All those icons are wind damage reports of trees and wires down.

I wouldn’t mind a summer where it’s between 60-75 much of the time. That’s warm enough to be comfortable, but not so hot you need an AC. Occasional highs around 85 are ok too, as long as it lasts only a day or 2.

Mt Washington Observatory...146mph gust this evening! Highest gust for the month of August for them. (They get some crazy winds in the winter).

Well I spent several years living in a climate where 70 degrees was a hot day and you'd only see it a few times a summer, where a windbreaker was obligatory most summer days. I despised it and ended up booking two long vacations each summer (one early, one late) to get to a warmer climate.
