And that $440 billion can be done away with by booting the illegals out of the USA

True enough. Although our economy does benefit from the labor of illegals working in many low paying difficult jobs. But that's a topic for another thread.

It only benefits the greedy employers the rest of us are getting the shaft. Americans have always done low paying difficult jobs so what is your point with that one?

You can rant and rave all you want and call us ignorant but the bottom line is it against the law for them to be here illegally sans any economic arguments. That is and should be the basis for all Americans to object to their presence here. You will never be able to justify their presence here based on that most important argument.

No point, in this thread anyway. There are a 100 other threads in this forum to discuss that. We are talking about what a great thing remittances are for the U.S. economy in this thread.

You've got to be kidding, right?

No, I am not kidding on either point:
1) remittances are good for our economy, and
2) this thread is about remittances.

How is it bad that we are giving out pieces of paper in return for tangible labor? Did you read the hypo about Juanopoly money? Do you disagree with it? Did you understand it? Do you have an opinion, other than to say "kick them out."?

First of all, I'd like this thread to get back on topic. Because what happens in this forum is that regardless of the topic, every thread ends the same way. With a very generic repetition of what has been said hundreds of times before. Half of you think that dropping a "I am pro" or "I am anti" post in the middle of a topic is somehow relevant to the topic discussed. True, it might be. But 8 out of 10 times it looks like you just had to have a word in every thread here. I'd still like to see real discussion here on the forum, I'd like to see an attempt to find a solution for this very serious problem. And all I see is people venting, posting the same things in response to various posts.
Second - just because you don't agree with someone, it doesn't mean that someone is a troll. Let the mods decide who is trolling here.

Now everybody please calm down and discuss the topic, not each other.
Yac.

Yet you have not explained, this little self thought concept of yours.

You keep going back to how it keeps the illegal aliens here, like parasites, feeding money into another economy, as your winning debate.

Over 25 reasons have debunked your uneducated ignorance, and you still go back to... it keeps the illegal aliens here, like parasites, feeding money into another economy.

As you see here, your going to have to work really hard and a heck of a lot harder, to convince anyone with even a little common sense, that feeding another nation, is good for the American economy, then we can discuss Americans that have been displaced in this welfare nation.
Put some numbers to it for us, to show us what goes around, comes around, in your lame theory.

*sigh* I have tried to explain it to you. Repeatedly.

See if these additional thoughts on remittances help:

Illegals are sending our paper currency back to their homeland—money they’ve earned through their labor. (This may be the one thing we agree on.)

In the illegals’ homeland, our U.S. currency is being used as a sort of default currency. They are using our store of value—paper money—in their economy. (I don't think there is any controversy here, is there?)

This default currency in the illegals’ homeland has no effect on our own economy UNLESS it comes back into America. (Is this a sticking point?)

The remittance money won’t return to the U.S. until such time that the currency of illegals’ homeland becomes stronger than our own dollar. If that happens our dollars will be so inflated that we will have gotten a very good deal on the original labor the illegal spent to earn the money. (Any questions about this?)

Our fed adjusts the money supply to compensate for remittances (and about a thousand other factors). There is no shortage of paper currency. (How about this?)

Ahhhhh! No. This thread is about remittances--the sending of paper currency outside our borders NOT about why illegals aliens are here in the first place, and whether or not they are parasites.
