Can I take that to mean you agree the Ideology opposite to Theism is Atheism?

Woodrow,

why don't you cut through this, and explain what this imaginary ideology consists of.

Not believeing in something is not an ideology, it is a statement.

But you seem to know all about this religion and ideology.

Perhaps you can explain it, the rules, the rituals,

I am trying to point out that an ideology or doctrine is nothing more than what a person believes or does not believe. It can be as simple as the statement 'I do not believe"

or it can be complex with rutuals , etc..

Because something does not have rules and rituals does not mean it is not an ideology or Doctrine.

The Atheist ideology about God is non-Belief. That is the ideology in it's entirety, no need for rules or ritual. Except if an Atheist ever finds reason to believe in God, he will no longer be an atheist.

No, An ideology or doctrine consists of something solid, rules, and rituals.

Simply saying, I don't believe you, is not an ideology or doctrine.

I have posted the definition of ideology at least once.

Is the definition in error?

A more simple to the point definition

Quote:
ideology

An ideology is a set of opinions or beliefs of a group or an individual. Very often ideology refers to a set of political beliefs or a set of ideas that characterize a particular culture.

source

No mention of rules, rituals etc. An individual's opinion is their ideology.

For that matter A theist is simple a person who believes in God. That does not mean they follow any religion or form of worship or any rules pertaining to their belief.

A set of opinions or belief's

why are you having such a hard time with that.

If you tell me something, and I say I don't believe you.

That is not a set of opinions or belief's.
